While it's risky, so is getting $10k+ of work done on your face only to be invisible to women again.

I fully understand why people like 5'4 guys just say fuck it and get LL. If they want to get into the dating game, no amount of luxury watches or sports cars will make them appeal to women (status game for very short guys means you'd have to be a world famous rapper or inventor). Some women will walk away from a date when they discover how short he is.

At least this way if the surgery has no major complications and they gain at least 3 inches, they can live with dignity and maybe start having a decent dating life once they fix soft flaws like skin or hair (well, hair is hard if it needs a transplant but that's not terribly expensive).

Yes women will still discriminate against a 5'7 or 5'8 guy but not nearly as much as someone who is 5'3 or 5'4.

For short men, this surgery is maximal value for money when it comes to increasing your potential of having sex with women casually. Getting a rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty or jaw implant as a very short guy will on its own likely achieve absolutely nothing.

The guy in the article went from 5'7 to 5'10. I'd say that alone is worth just about any sum of money. You successfully frauded nature and beat your own genetics, and will have much, much less women treating you as an inferior or with contempt. If your face looks even average you just increased your SMV massively.
