It sure does happen and your kids can end up very different looking than you (if one happens to have kids), however I see way to many cases of people just inheriting most of combination the genes of their parents and therefore presenting phenotypically similar facial traits. Lachowski is just one example, I have more examples bellow.
This famous chadlite has the same facial traits as his father, same nose, eyes an lips. Only the proportions get a bit off because his father appears to suffer from downward growth. Aside from that he got lucky and at least didn't mouth bread or didn't get the combo of genes responsible for a long midface. Recombination does happen, but one is still gonna inherit their parents overall look.
Least but nor last, Dr. Amir, which got featured here because of a face lift result; also has kids and they look like carbon copies of their father.
We would still need a few hundred more data points to reach a conclusion closer to reality, but briefly speaking we can conclude that even if every member on this forum got a Stacy like wife with top tier genetics, these genes still wouldn't be enough to guarantee gl sons or daughters, a tiny percentage could get lucky (which does ofc happen in the observable world), but I doubt it would happen to a significant degree as to justify the hassle of trying to get a gl enough partner.
Other conclusion is, once subhuman, always a subhuman, the only way however to counteract this is to have daughters, since women need less flaws to be considered gl and because they would pretty much guarantee the immortality of your genetic line.
