Damon braces X palate expander, is this a good move?

I'm consulting with my orthodontist soon and i'm also wondering if Damon braces are really all that cause i've heard of them alot on how they are faster and better or whatever. another thing is like how many mm could my face change like by width- and forward growth, i don't really know if it could do wonders as i'm 14. But the sides of my toungue are always like marked in a way by my teeth in a zigzag way. Also i think i might have a very slight cross bite so idk.

Is this a high iq move to try and get them both?

consult your orthodontist before ask if they are correcting teeth or skeletal changes they might camoflage with pulling teeth back instead of addressing mandible positioning also none of these truly affect forward growth its mostly set

Oh yea i defininetly am gonna try to look out for "fixing the problem" but they are just covering it with another problem ikwym

depends if they give you elastics most likely will be class II but it mostly moves canines backwards just masks it annoyingly

basically damon means elastics are hidden or self ligating just no obvious elastics the elastics are placed on the upper canine and back molar to bring both teeth and mandible to address overbite if youve gotten a ceph it is quite useful here also if you know your bone age it can actually move mandible forward

i have the same problem im soon to take off elastics off ceph ive only advanced 2mm on the side i was 3-4mm off was hoping for full but sadly orthopaedics are best here

so no growth with the mandible for you huh? eh idk ima just run bo's mandible guide its simple so i mine aswell try it

check your ceph sometimes its the mandible is fine in length but badly positioned braces are much more effective here they dont really cause bone to grow, strongly depends on bone age here mandible is most likely unfused for you as its the last to do it at your age braces are very good anyways

im hoping i can get to orthodontist by the end of the month tbf, im so tired of not having any growth
