do u think invisalign would be an alternative to maybe be on the safer side?I got them for 5 years and used elastics for a significant amount of time. I'm significantly forward grown. However, the elastics were used solely for one tooth that was too high up and needed to be brought down. I think if you use elastics on multiple teeth it may recess you.
Invisalign is pretty good at doing what braces do except for a few movements such as extrusion and whatnot. I think invisalign is less likely to recess you than braces but don't take my word for it, there are many threads about getting a blackpilled invisalign plan.do u think invisalign would be an alternative to maybe be on the safer side?
do u still wear a retainer? because after braces/invaslign having to wear a retainer can stop any more forward growth from occuring especially if you’re still growing, as the palates are stuck in that position whilst you’re wearing them and arent allowed to grow
Could you link to some said "blackpilled invisilign" threads please? Thanks.Invisalign is pretty good at doing what braces do except for a few movements such as extrusion and whatnot. No, I didn't wear the retainer for long and my teeth didn't move at all. I do have a permanent bottom retainer and a clear retainer for the top teeth that I stopped wearing. Why did I stop wearing my retainer? I believed that with thorough mewing and daily chewing sessions I could keep my teeth from reverting. Which has been the case for more than a year or two now.
Also if you have extra questions, ask away. For transparency I also got a frenectomy and had a few extractions which you should steer away from.
However, if I could turn back time I would of gotten an orthotropic appliance such as ALF which I'm still considering.
