Seriously though I have a plan what I would do in case of a nuclear war. It involves going to a extremly remote location that is strategically meaningless for all involved parties. It's a possibility but you gotta think it over. Most people you care for and know will either be dead or die horrible deaths. The mental toll inflicted by such horror is not something I wish to experience. You have to re-evaluate your reasons for staying when all you care for is gone.

Surviving the post apocalyptic winter is not that difficult. It will only last 2 years. With enough supplies and vitamin D it's possible to survive if you're far from the blast.

Is not what I had in mind but I think it's a good location, too. There are areas that are completely unpopulated. If one could manage to build up a little community there it might be possible to survive.
