We are on the brink of a massive nuclear war. Does anyone have a good basement or bunker? Any of you prepared?

Seriously though I have a plan what I would do in case of a nuclear war. It involves going to a extremly remote location that is strategically meaningless for all involved parties. I won't say which city it is but you would never guess. It's like a small town thousands of miles away from any meaningful kind of civilization.

Good man. As long as you're not in Moscow, Kiev or Belarus you should be fine and you could escape.

Im in australia so if i go to the outback or tasmania i think i will be safe cuz there is like fuck all to bomb their. As long as the areas i am in are not near any military bases tho. Ur more fucked if your near russia or in the states tbh.

Australia will not be the first. The first are most likely Ukraine and Moscow. You will have time to escape.

I'll just lay in my bed since the blast is just going to vaporize me within milliseconds.

How about if you have a few hours to escape? What would you do then?

Yes. Just so happens to be that the house my parents bought was built during the cold war and has an underground fallout bunker. (Absolutely everything I just said was a lie).

Man you had me for a second. What will you do if Putin launches a nuke on Ukraine? Personally I will stay where I am and prepare for the fallout winter. Stack up on food etc.

so what's the purpose of having nuclear weapons at all if they'll never be used?

Hope I get hit first. Really. I don't imagine living in a post-apocalyptic world would be fun. Even if it looks cool in movies.

It's a possibility but you gotta think it over. Most people you care for and know will either be dead or die horrible deaths. The mental toll inflicted by such horror is not something I wish to experience. You have to re-evaluate your reasons for staying when all you care for is gone.

Surviving the post apocalyptic winter is not that difficult. It will only last 2 years. With enough supplies and vitamin D it's possible to survive if you're far from the blast.

All people with good genetics are allowed into bunkers, but the rest has to roam the wastelands until they become mutants. Great playground for eugenists.

Once the chads come out of their bunkers, they're so weak and fragile that they willingly submit to the mutant creatures.

You're in your remote location, probably some small hut in Kamchatka. You will become a mutant as well because you dont have a bunker.

Is not what I had in mind but I think it's a good location, too. There are areas that are completely unpopulated. If one could manage to build up a little community there it might be possible to survive.
