I do agree dark triad traits can also manifest as a phenotype, like a set of very low trust facial features.

It gets a bad rap though because physiognomy was ruled pseudoscientific in the 1800s.
But on a purely non-scientific personal basis, I believe in it and I believe people judge others based on facial cues.
