People here think being dark triad is some gigachad or Dexter Morgan thing, but most sociopaths, narcys etc. are failing at life. The system rewards those who can make others feel good and are good at socialising, and when you're severely lacking in empathy and so forth, you'll be really struggling to do that. That's why so many dark triads are in jail, they can't hold down a job so they resort to crime.

The mask is really hard to keep on for extended periods of time. Like if you're non-NT introvert/autistic, you may be able to act like a sociable guy for a job interview, but try to act like it for every day from that moment on in that job. Some can do it, but it's really mentally draining.
