yeah, going for women relatively better looking than you is idiotic unless you are a rich beta-buxxer who has no problem with getting cucked and cheated on regularly.

a friend of mine managed to start dating one of the hottest girls in my generation at uni thanks to his extroversion and wit, only for her to btfo him after 2-3 weeks because he became too needy and insecure (which is logical in that situation, unfortunately). he wasn't even ugly and had good height and physique, but just had no appeal to women. he wasn't an incel either.
