So many users here talk about how deadlifts are a pointless exercise for aesthetics.

They are legit one of the best things you can do. Deadlifts work your neck, traps, forearms, and glutes. You’re crazy if you don’t think that will make you better looking

I've deadlifted 535lb / 243kg and I'm still incel.

Its nothing but a cope for subhumans like me who are obsessed with getting stronger.

whiteboy exercise. if ur core is mid-leg heavy sure.. but if ur core is higher than that, its a useless exercise.

Dead lifts are a great overall mass builder. That being said I’d much rather be stronger on weighted pull ups

Deadlifts done with good form are not that dangerous.

Do you ever do direct arm work? You might be strong but you should also train for arm hypertrophy
I've bench pressed 300lb/136kg (touch and go for a 1RM) without needing it.

If I need to do direct arm work to get to a 315 TnG bench, I will do it. But for now, its not really a priority for me. I care about and like deadlifts more.

I'm new to the gym, first timer. Do you recommend me just to focus on isolation movements for shoulders, chest, arms to achieve an aesthetic physique?

For Shoulders chest and Triceps you should be focusing on big compound lifts like OHP, bench press variations, and weighted dips.

Also DO NOT neglect your back. Not only will you look less "aesthetic" but you'll be more prone to injury because you won't be balancing your pressing movements with pulling movements.

For your back, you should be doing Rows, weighted pull/chin us and deadlifts.

Don't worry about direct arm work until you're at least late-intermediate strength level. As a novice, your arms will get bigger just from compound lifts. Mine got bigger and I have shit arm genetics.

I am a coping subhuman powerlifter. I don't ignore legs (Squat 385 and deadlift 535).

But if you only care about aesthetics it wouldn't supprise me if you ignore them.

Deadlift is kind of like a half split between upper and lower body tbh. It is the lift that works the most amount of muscles in the body and can be very taxxing on the CNS.
