@DawahWise yes that story is a metaphor for God's creation of space-time i.e. the expansion of the universe. The four directions, left and right side of the x-axis and top and bottom of the y-axis. Shatarupa is the daughter(feminine) because God's intelligence is material nature or prakriti i.e. feminine. God/Brahma "penetrates" i.e. uses His intelligence to create the universe.

So Hinduism IS correct. Our "mythologies" are beautiful metaphors.

Remember the Vedas(plus Upanishads), Puranas and Itihasas are the most important foundational texts along with the Sutras.

Also I'll give you a hint: Varuna("a thousand eyes", "the stars are His thousand eyed spies" ~ verses of the Vedas) is the Omniscience of the Lord/Ishvara/Supreme Being and Indra is His Omnipotence.(lightning is always seen as the manifestation of the power of God, like in the Old Testament God "smites")

God IS what He does. When He creates He is Brahma, when He sustains He is Vishnu etc

Obviously "only Brahma can create". That doesn't mean that there are multiple, seperate Gods, each for a different functions. It's the same Ishvara/Supreme Being having different attributes. Does Allah become a different God when He sustains as opposed to create?

Also the act of creating the universe i.e. Brahma implies Infinite strength and power or Omnipotence. Even God creating a subatomic particle shows His Omnipotence. Him creating the entire universe doesn't make Him anymore stronger than Him creating a subatomic particle. Because He is the only Creator of everything and anything. A thing exists at all only because He willed it to be so.

The Mohini story is metaphorical. It means that God is attracted to His own creation enough to not want to Destroy it. i.e. Shiva(the Destroyer aspect of God) attracted to Mohini avatara of Vishnu(the Sustainer aspect of God), Vishnu in a female form(female = prakriti or the material world, maya).

Of course you wouldn't understand this as you're Muslim.

The Puranic "stories" are symbolic/metaphorical description of the nature of God regarding His attributes.

The meanings are Theological. Only a spiritually realized person who worships God deeply can decipher them.

The Hindu scriptures reveal their meanings to the pious man.
