I've started low sodium and i know potassium is good for debloating/flushing out sodium but anyone know how much potassium i should be having a day + other things to take/do for debloating (besides deficit)

eat less carbs
less carbs => less glycogen => less water retention
make sure to balance your electrolytes (sodium and potassium) instead of reducing sodium or whatever

just eat 5000mg of potassium per day and youll barely have to worry about eating too much sodium tbh

also drink a lot of water but thats water

any supplement, way cheaper than getting it through food lol. pro tip if u get in pill form just open the plastic capsules and pour them in water cause ur stomach gets fucked if u take like 10 of them

Potassium to sodium ratio should be like 3:1-4:1. So it depends on how much sodium you ate that day.

If you ate too much sodium it can be pretty hard to achieve that ratio with supplements. If I take too much potassium chloride at once I get nasty farts/diarrhea.

Don’t take potassium if you haven’t eaten/haven’t eaten anything with sodium that day. It’s not necessary if you’re eating minimally or eating clean and low sodium. It’s useful for avoiding bloat after you overeat or eat a goyslop meal.

Definitely don’t take potassium chloride fasted. It’s irritating to your stomach lining. Once I took vitamin C and potassium on an empty stomach and got super nauseous.

It’s a myth that salt gets you bloated. You have kidneys that regulate electrolytes and manage blood pressure. It’s inflammation from bad diet that causes bloating. You’re talking like people at competition bodybuilding that play with potassium for losing slight water for less than few hours. Like the other guy said, cut out simple carbs and do cardio/workout to debloat. Losing sodium means you lower blood pressure and increase your heat rate and just kill your energy levels, risk fainting spells etc.
