This right here is the strongest Indian accent apparently and we all know its the most unattractive one. The theory is that deepening your voice kind of counters your accent because it distinguishes yourself from others .
Most indians are soyboy vegetarians who have have low T due to their diet and habits and so they all have similar voices / vocal ranges . Getting a deeper voice gets rid of that and gives you a non indian accent.
It might sometimes create a hybrid accent between indian , British etc . But it's foolproof for the most part
