This is my most important and last thread since discovering this.

This is the entire reason i am ugly and why im recessed and grew to be recessed

If you found this thread through searching deep bite then ask chatgpt to test if yours is skeletal or dental, dental is where your jaw feels like it wants to come forward towards your incisors and it rests forward with your teeth apart and lips closed. Skeletal is where you have a deep bite but no jaw coming forwards urge or muscle tension with mouth closed.

Im ahead of everyone on this so if you suspect you have deep bite make sure to see what kind because if its dental its a cheap fix that will massively boost your looks long term by having your jaw not constantly tensing and recessing your face with teeth touching.

Dental deep bite causes recession by chronic muscle tension in your face when teeth are being forced closed. Fixing this allows your face to grow forward due to natural vectors again and even the lack of tension massively enhances looks.

Correcting dental deep bite causes= lower jaw rests in natural forward posture with teeth aligned naturally. (No jaw or face tension)

Dental deep bite causes= lower jaw rests back because it has to be forced shut with muscle strain in masseters and temporalis muscles and this is basically restricting your faces growth forwards (chronic jaw / face tension with teeth touching (forcing it closed))

This is my most important and last thread since discovering this i might update in 10 years after getting FUNCTIONAL braces that procline my incisors to correct my dental deep bite and i will show all the before after shit.

HAHAHA I HAVE DENTAL CLASS 2 MALOCLUSION (DEEPBITE) NOT SKELETAL

4k AWAY FROM FIXING MY CHRONIC FACE TENSION FIXING MY UPPER LIP AND SIDE PROFILE JUST BECAUSE OF RETROCLINED INCISORS YOU FUCKERS SAYING LEFORT ARE DEAD WRONG AND A DENTIST EVEN AGREES WITH ME

LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SKELETAL DEEP BITE AND DENTAL DEEP BITE

Mine is skeletal, deep bite is one of the worst skeletal malocclusions to have imo only behind class 3, makes you look like an underdeveloped tired baby with sagging skin and fat, its over

If your lower third is very short
When i bite down yes, but when its like resting, my lower third is rated htn.

Also my teeth are very crooked, but i’m not sure man.. i hope it is dental

Probably a mild case, I look like an animal when I bite down so I also have to let my jaw hang open to look more normal

i basically look totally different after jutting and biting lip a lil as my lip support is a bit too much but if u can jut w overbite its probably dental overbite i asked gpt aswell

isnt lower third short in every over bite in skeletal the mandible is shorter aswell ig
Depends on jaw rotation and maxilla height, for some its too long from excess cw rotation and gummy smile

Probably inaccurate I js used a measuring tape jfl, but my chin to philtrum ratio is genuinely like 1:1.5 whenever I bite down, and according to AI I have a horribly short lower third compared to everything else

i cant find an ortho who isnt retarded unfortunately. they dont know shit except putting on brackets and proclining your incisors unnaturally. you gotta extrude your molars with functional appliances like twin block, bite plates etc. to lengthen the face and look like a normal human being.

What they recommend for me is pushing my lower jaw forward with surgery and take some teeth out

how old r u? taking teeth out usually collapse the face but idk if you are old you might wanna do that. find another ortho imo who knows how to extrude molars and open your bite that way. last chance get marpe.

I’m 18 and the woman said she will take out wisdom tooth and and a tooth on the bottom, ill ask about extruding molars if she says no ill go to another ortho maybe, its crazy how much it descends me and i really don’t want the whole process of braces and surgery it would take like 3 years…

you still got time. shit nerfes me like crazy i cant even chew hard foods cause i might get tmd. dont get your teeth out, if you cant extrude your molars get on marpe so you have enough space for your teeth. it also makes your molars erupt a bit. good luck bhai

your lower jaw is pushed back? my molars are small so thats probably why i have a overbite

I think I have a dental deepbite as my jaw wants to come forward but is pushed back and blocked by my front teeth. I think my case isn’t too severe. What should I do to fix it before it’s too late. I have other posts up with my face in which my jaw is in its resting position (not necessarily jutting but molars not touching and lower jaw coming forward due to not being blocked by front teeth

You need molar extrusion i have the same issue bhai. Dont get brackets unless with elastics. You need a bp ortho which is super rare, otherwise you will get brackets and intrude, procline your upper incisors but it will ruin ur potential.

Sorry bro, but here's how to fix it -

Bahaha what do I actually do twin
in the case of that kid the difference was pretty wild, things like those listed in the reddit post can still work but as you get older it will show results much slower. it really depends on your situation, most adults 21+ get MARPE + lower jaw surgery to correct jaw recession (bimax in some cases too). if you are younger i would give a try to what people like Jordan Wood shows and all the stuff they are talking about in that reddit post. also i wouldnt extract premolars if there is no need to and they are not causing problems
