I've never watched Dexter. I would find it too cringe. They would just get psychopathy way too wrong. They would have to in order to make the character palatable.

Breaking bad was probably better written but Dexter was more enjoyable so Dexter. I still need to see the new series that just came out

I've seen snippets from the show on YT where he's comically perplexed on how to respond "empathetically" to a situation. Something that psychopaths are extremely adept from a very early age at and would never have trouble with.
I'm too much a fan of absolute realism to ever watch a show like that.
