Ok so when I was around 12 I was very ill, heavily malnourished and was constantly in a lot of pain. I was eventually diagnosed with chrons disease after seeing multiple doctors. All throughout my teenage years I was very small, skinny and much shorter than the other kids. This also lead to a lot of bullying but that’s another story. I was constantly in and out of hospital and had multiple lengthy hospital stays. This malnourishment caused my puberty to be delayed and I believe it stunted my growth. Luckily I was put on a good medication which literally saved my life as the doctors told my mum if it weren’t for the medication I’d be dead by 20. I still receive infusions every two months. Anyways, my dad is 6’4 and my mum is 5’9. I’m somewhere around 6’1-6’2. I believe I was supposed to be taller, I mean my dad is taller than my grandfather. Did my disease really stunt my growth or did my genetics just fail me? I’m not complaining about my height but it would be nice being taller lol.
