This year has been so weird, it felt like two completely separate years crammed into one. Anyone else feel like that?
The first half of the year was totally different from the second half, in every way possible; vibe, events, personal stuff, even pop culture.
I started the year simping hard for my oneitis (mistake, I know). Then I met another girl and got oneitis again (because I never learn). Things seemed promising, but of course, I fumbled that too. Then, by the second half of the year, I was cycling through another oneitis. It was just one emotional rollercoaster after another.
Even outside of my personal mess, the vibe shift was real. The first few months of 2024 still felt like the early 2020s; kind of a leftover from 2023. But as the year went on, it shifted to a full-on mid-2020s vibe. Pop culture feels different now, almost like it turned a corner. Trump coming back to power is insane and has totally reshaped the political and cultural landscape.
It’s like the year split in two; early 2024 and late 2024 feel like different worlds.
Did anyone else feel this way?
