In the UK you only have one prom whereas America has 2 or 3 or somethn idk.

In the UK it's at the end of secondary school (age 16) during da summer.

I didn't go to mine tbh. Who would've I gone with? And where would I go and who would I hang with?

Literally none of the teachers actually knew me and I had barely any friends who were low status and also didn't go so it would've just been so awkward and pointless.

My mum was and was surprised and disappointed that I didn't want to go jfl she actually expected that I would be going she's finding it so hard to accept that she didn't have a chad son like they do in them american housewive shows she watches.

I only went to prom first year of middle school, missed a chance with a girl there who approached me and invited me to dance and I freaked out and chickened out. In middle of second school year I dropped out. I thought my middle school experience would be similar to my older brothers: many friends, popular, many girlfriends, dancing and sitting with gf at prom. But he was good looking and tall and NT then. My middle school and high school experience turned complete opposite
