I have a recessed upper maxilla but normal lower maxilla.

I dont get the difference of MLF3 and LF3

One is safe and one u are 99% chance of dying

Normal Le Fort 3 is for accident victims

A normal Lefort 3 advances the entire midfacial region by creating a single osteotomy incision that goes between your eyes, under your orbitals, through your cheekbones to your jaw, detaching that entire structure and advancing it forward.

Modified Lefort 3 does not detach the midface from the skull; it uses two incisions to advance the infraorbital regions.

A normal Lefort 3 would necessarily advance both the lower and upper midface, as that entire structure is moved uniformly.

Does MLF3 move the nose forward?

If you're a lf3 candidate that'd mean you look like you have a crouson and your ortho alone should be enough to know if you can actually get that surgery or not.
