Here’s Tyler Maher:

Here’s him with a longer midface, and his face is morphed by dragging his upper third upwards:

Here’s him with the same elongated midface length, and his face is morphed by dragging his lower third downwards:

The down-dragged morph looks worse than the up-dragged morph. The "down-grown" face has a shitty jaw angle, and the "tall" face has a good jaw angle.

3rd one doesn't look bad just looks too big to be real

Maher looks actually quite alpha in the downward-dragged morph. Probably because chin-to-philtrum became higher and hyper masculine facial thirds.

1 (original) > 2 (upper elongation) > 3 (lower elongation)

Both look worse than unedited.
The upper elongation looks worse cos his lower third height looks too short now compared to the middle one.
The lower elongation looks even worse cos it creates an appearance of typical mandibular recession.
I would define an attractive tall face as one with EME angle equal or lower than 48° and a balanced ratio of anterior lower facial height to middle facial height (around 1.0–1.2) = without SFS. I'd say Maher (without editing) is already a good example of the tall face.
