Difference between white people and others tan

No Is there any scientific reason on why when white people have tan skin,they glow golden majestic,kinda like the famous Marlon. But when others,for example indians,they just look brown.

I have chinese friends that have white skin that when they're in the sun for too long,they get brown too,but not glowing golden
