Dirty blonde rn. Do i go lighter with blonde highlights or dye darker to medium brown

Current hair color, a dirty blonde/light brown

I can't decide if I want to get blonde highlights again (this looks really good and giga halo in asia where I am rn cos its so rare, but doesnt make my skin look whiter, may highlight my slight redness)

Or dye darker to a medium brown (this may look good too. But mainly I like this idea as it would give me more contrast and help make my skin look whiter which is desired in asia)
