Hello Looksmax.org,
I'm in need of some advice as I can't find much information on the subject on this forum. I'm planning to buy Accutane OTC in SEA to treat acne scaring. Has anyone here taken Accutane before without a doctor and what advice do you suggest?

Current skincare routine:
CeraVe foaming cleanser
CeraVe moisturizer
Beauty of Joseon SPF50
0.05 Tretinoin (2-3 days a week)
2% Salicylic acid serum (I plan to add this once I'm on Accutane to reduce acne)

I think 95% of people from here who take accutane/isotretinoin do it without a prescription.

Redundant.

OP, isotretinoin is only shown to treat rolling scars in literature.
Acknowledge this before you consider using it for scars specifically.

Dermatologists in my home country are for the most part illiterate Indians that will just give you antibiotics to treat acne. Their not incentivized to do shit, so I would rather just do it myself instead of pretending to take anti-biotics for the next 5 years before they might even consider giving me Accutane.

Most people don't take isotret forever, excluding microdosing which I've not really looked into. I was under the impression that I could just go back to using topical Tretinoin once I finished my cycle.

I'm not familiar with the types of scars. I had a lot of acne as a teenager, but now I don't get that much acne. I got them mostly from shaving.

I assume that I don't use both at the same time? Long-term I'd prefer to use topical than oral. I was looking at taking a 40mg dose daily for 24-36 weeks as per the Accutane calculator using a bit of a lower dose than recommended. I will most likely do private blood work at least once or twice during the cycle. I need to do blood work anyway as I plan on taking TRT, but that's another matter entirely.
