Are there any orthognathic surgeons that would do double jaw surgery on a class 1 malocclusion with almost perfect teeth for mostly cosmetic reasons or should I just rope?

I had a consultation with a surgeon near me and he said that he would never do any type of jaw surgery for me unless it was for severe sleep apnea. And for that type of surgery there would be no aesthetic consideration, just big cm long movements that might make me look like a monkey from over advancement. I basically just paid $250 for a 5min appt to get told I’m a fucking retard.

But I did get an at home sleep study done after where I larped mild sleep apnea. So would there be any surgeons known to actually do something like that or should I just go to a plastic surgeon for a facelift? I know there are alr a lot of surgeon recs here for ones who focus on cosmetic outcomes too, but most ppl who get DJS with them have real problems. Who are the guys I can pay for cosmetic orthognathic surgery

I need the advancement cosmetically, I already have deeper nasolabial folds than my peers and premature jowls. Along with obvious downgrowth and lack of ideal projection. When I went for my first two orthodontist appts for braces again (to fix minor lower teeth crowding) they both rejected me, but said that if I could get a jaw surgeon it would help those types of concerns. So I need it, and I had professionals agree that a jaw surgeon could help if I got someone who would take my case, but I don’t want to keep spending all my money on consultations.

reading this back I should rope for being an iqlet

Are you asking about movements? If they're local they may be quite conservative in the advancement

I would but I'm not qualified to do that. Get some suggestions from a surgeon first

Seen some negative pag reviews recently. I think one thing other than "typical" complications was his method for BSSO cuts and also under-use of bone grafting. I'm still not sure who I am going with as of now as I also want implants placed and some complex cuts.

Have you got any links for these reviews?

Hard for surgeons to operate on class 1 you unless you have sleep apnea or some severe recession. I would consult with multiple surgeons, I wouldn’t to raffaini or Pagnoni tho, only Ramieri out of the Italians. It’s pretty likely that Ramieri will deny you tho including most surgeons, so try and get some proof of sleep apnea or sleep disturbed breathing before consulting, but I would get consults will lots of different surgeons. And if they all deny you there’s always giant

Why would Ramieri deny you?

he didn’t deny me. I’m saying that if OP is a class 1 and has perfect occlusion he likely won’t see a reason to operate on OP

do you have any pics

If you need significantly more mm forward than what just a genio can provide (like if you need 10+ mm), then a surgeon who is accepting cosmetic indications will likely operate on you, even if your bite is fine and you don't have sleep apnea. But you need to go to a surgeon who does bimax for aesthetic reasons, if you go to most regular ones they will deny. Where you will get rejected by anyone is if not only do you not have functional issues but you also aren't that recessed.
