When you have them in, yes.
When the treatment is over, no.

Exception is when you do a tooth extraction in combination with braces, that's the only instance where braces are a looksmin long-term.

depends on the case. this guy needed extraction and it ascended him by a lot.

Looks like bimax + permasquint, jfl.
It can be helpful in instances where its the only possible procedure for a correct a bite. But generally it should be avoided, and it's mostly performed due to cost efficiency. Extractions due to hypodontia in pubertal teens is usually detrimental to jaw development.

I agree if you are 16+, but If your maxilla is actively growing, the braces will restrict its growth and expansion especially.
