Also I'm in the same boat, I could get Bimax free on the NHS.. but I don't know if I trust a bluepilled surgeon. If we're getting it free, they will fix medically first, and aesthetically 2nd.. and that's if they even care to discuss that with you. A blackpilled surgeon will give you morphs and keep you truly updated on the aesthetic standpoint.

If NHS let me choose my own Doctor in UK, I'd do it in a flash as I have found a really good Doctor here in UK that does Bimax, Genioplasty and even implants and he's relatively good.. I think a lot of these Dr's in UK don't have much good Before and After pictures because no one here is willing to share that they got work done.

Very true. It’s hard to find one especially in the U.K.. but I’m sure if I spend time digging I’ll find someone.

Why does it need to be in the UK? Insurance purposes?

I’m from here and super busy with what I do, the chance of getting 3 weeks off to visit a different country for surgery especially when I’ve never left the U.K. in my life just doesn’t feel ideal haha.

I think a lot of surgeons abroad bump prices too after good results are posted, and I’m speaking to a surgeon from UK who seems to understand the aesthetic reasons behind it, I’m hoping he can help me on the journey.

Go with the surgeon that’s going to work with your goals and not pressure you into anything. A bluepilled surgeon will subconsciously have a motive to not cater towards aesthetics. They want more people to be lower or at the same level as them, never above.

That's what I've noticed, I've e-mailed legit about 9 surgeons so far, out of 20 e-mails only 9 responded without wanting money, and only 4 of those even hinted at aesthetics.. and out of those 4 only 2 are willing to work with me and discuss morphs. I actually notice one of the guys has a prominent jawline, good haircut and decent fashion with a pretty luxurious lifestyle for a 50 year old, and for some reason that alone has my mind at ease lol

Perfect observation, someone like that is who you’d want to work with, granted they also have the skill necessary.

Spend time researching maxillofacial surgeons, I was actually told by one of them that they do focus on aesthetics almost just as much as medical, but they don't use personal Instagram Pages/Websites to promote the aesthetic outcome because they value themselves as medical professionals.. It kind of made sense to me, especially when I see Italian surgeons posting the ''aesthetic'' results and having loads of us DM them, and they end up inflating their prices. I'm sure most maxillofacial surgeons if you give them the knowledge are just as good, but naturally you prefer to trust your face with those you've seen have good outcomes online.

If you take the time to find the right surgeon, you'll find one. I ended up speaking with a surgeon in London about treatment, he originally recommended Genio with Peek Ramus Implants until he seen my mandible and he then referred me to a Maxillofacial surgeon who has 25 years experience and seems to be good at what he does, he told me he enjoys the aesthetic part of it a lot, we're now discussing morphs and he said my movements are realistic, but he'd like to get X-rays first and I plan to go and get those X-rays from him when lockdown is calmed down and we'll see what happens. He seems to be a sought after surgeon too, good understanding of faces, orthodontics, genioplasty and discusses well.. if it goes well, i'd post about him on here.

so there is no specific criteria ?

I understand that talking to them is important but I fail to see if there is some concrete evidence to look for. Im in CA so lots of surgeons but also lots of retards.

I mean, you want to make sure they understand aesthetics. I've seen some gutting NHS before and afters where the face barely moves, they make it medically efficient but barely any aesthetic improvements, and if you're going under the knife why not make sure you maximise every potential outcome possible. Most people are normies, don't understand that they won't magically look great and are confused the jaw barely looks different, and that's because they didn't discuss before hand what they wanted.

Look for a surgeon that suits your expectations on what you want to achieve, I've had one tell me aesthetic improvements shouldn't be focused on and another tell me aesthetic improvements are highly suggested, it depends on the surgeon. E-mail them and explain to them your situation, and if they ignore you via e-mail and seem uninterested, dip.. find one who takes the time with you, then pay him for a consultation and that will probable be your guy.

You’ll need to take a few weeks off just to recover even if you’re staying local. Just saying.

That's true, I run my own business, so the idea of taking 3 weeks away from it in a different country doesn't work. It's a little easier locally as I can still work from home even if I've had jaw surgery, and get a little help. As long as I can be back up and running on a computer/vehicle in my local area after 7-10 days, I'm good.
