Happens but very exagerrated. Social Hierarchies exist but bullying like giving swirlies, shoving into the locker is a thing of thr past. Bullying these days is just insults and defamation.

In my cousin's school if you are able to prove that someone has passed derogatory comments against you. You can have him suspended by giving a complaint that it hurt you mentally or something. School authorities are very strict these days when it comes to these things. You can't even talk shit about someone let alone raise your hand.

I think physically bullying someone is wrong but verbally bullying can sometimes help in personality development if it's not too much and for the right reasons.

and schools now have strict policies on bullying. most student-athletes could get suspended from playing their sport.
