Because I have noticed that I look much better at that angle. Then directly from the front (still working on the front).

But today I noticed a girl staring at me pretty much in class when I was talking with the girl beside me. My head was a bit turned to the side and I got eye contact with a girl sitting on the other side of the classroom like maybe 3-4 times when I just looked up. It was like she was already staring.

Was she looking at me because she thought I looked good?
