If you want to get strong get big. Every powerlifter will start off their powerlifting regime with a hypertrophy block. Why? Because you're not going to move shit if you're 10 stone soaking wet. However, the difference between a powerlifter's hypertrophy block and a bodybuilder's regime is that the powerlifter will target muscles that have the greatest effect on his total.
