do pupil hitting work

i have hitting my iris everyday since last week 5 times a day I do it for 1 minute and I don't if it works because Im getting very little white lines in the edge of my eyes and I don't know if it works or not I'm doing it to apply pressure and reduce the melanin but I thought it would increase the melanin but it reduced a little bit
