Do the elastic bands of your braces cause forward growth?

The elastic bands pull your jaw forward to overtime align your upper/lower teeth.

I have also seen changes in my face since i started wearing the bands. Im not sure tho.

Yes but most of the times if u got recessed lower jaw ur maxilla is overprojected

Check my braces b4 after (I still didn’t take them off

Lower jaw is literally the same but my maxilla was overprojected and once they pulled it back with braces I got Bimax results without Bimax part

only surgery done is rhino btw, but that pic is 2w past surgery so it’s crazy swollen

I thought it was because I was recessed in general. So do I also have an overprojected maxilla / overbite
