Do you consider people from ireland to be European?

Whenever I hear that someones from mainland Europe I always associate them as being European however I've never really thought of myself as European dispite being so. Always just thought of myself as Irish. Just me that thinks like this?

Irish culture historically so homogenised that they can be considered their own race like "celtic". Ireland is on the europen teptonic plate so european. Imma divided europeans as northern and other, northern having blonde hair and other having brown hair.
