not much pain, more so discomfort. Especially around the bonier parts of my head, it feels like i'm rattling my skull (i use a dermapen)

What model and needle size you use?

Aren't micro needeling pens highly preferable? Feels like they would do less "damage".

Use lidocaine.

Also, consider less depth. Do you have any reason to pierce down to 1.5mm?

I dont have pain while using IT.
It is most commonly reccomended size
Also dermaroller have create inconsistent depth at mostly 1.1/1.3mm

What are you doing it for?

Anything above 1mm penetrates the deep skin with blood vessels. Do you need to do that? (What's the reason?) Hair follicles sit in epidermis after all, so you don't need to dig that deep.

I use the cheapest option and it works great - Mym dermapen. And I've seen the same one used in beauty clinics in asia.

I buy 12 needle pins and switch them out every session. I go at a depth of 2mm (max), and sometimes 1.5mm.

You can bleed with 1mm, it's painful even at 0.5.
