Do you go to failure when working out?

I never go to failure if Im doing low reps sets I just think about pushing the weight as hard as I can, but when doing higher rep sets I always go to failure even if you dont need it to build muscle its like a challenge and the workout doesnt feel complete without it

failure is a relative term, but yes you should be pushing yourself in the gym. If you're not, you're wasting time. Go hard. Rest. That's how successful gymmaxing works.

yes but if you're working out alone it's not actually failure, you would be able to do the rep if it was part of a competition
