What do you get out of concealing your personality?

Several reasons.


I’ve ran into a lot of negative people in my life. By doing well in school, I managed to weasel my way up the social ladder despite being average intelligence. Most people at the top end of hierarchy are narcissistic, over-competitive, envious, etc.


You cannot confide in or reveal too much to those people because they will view it as an exploitable weakness, especially other men.
