Ok so I’m playing this game called Disco Elysium mogger game thx to @HarrierDuBois for putting me on it

The main character is harry Dubois a detective was having a convo with his partner

Harry Dubois has conversations with voices in his head and often they give him suggestions

His partner Kim experiences no such thing he simply rights things down

I also experience the same thing my mind usually gives suggestions to myself I can sorta audibly hear the voices and can have imaginary conversations

I thought this was normal but a lot of people don’t have this inner voice, do you have it I suspect people here are more likely to have it

I talk to myself only if I'm imagining a situation

The characters are real people

But the scenarios are usually me being high iq and explaining something to someone who isnt there or explaining why they are a piece of shit angrily

Not really they just tell me what to do and I choose what I think is best

Like some voices are unhinged like for example one voice might tell me that I should steal the alcohol that my parents hide in their rooms and get drunk

Then another voice will tell me not to do that and it’s a bad idea I usually go with what that voice says I never have done such a thing

It's like in those cartoon shows where a character has a angelic persona and a evil persona

Just don't let them control u , take ur decisions with ur mind and it's good that u don't totally follow what they say

I'll suggest you to do something which keeps u busy all day like playing some sport , focusing on studies
Maybe if u don't have spare time , these second thoughts would stop coming
And obviously interact with more people on daily basis

even when I dont have alot of free time I still hear these voices

its a core part of me I didnt really have it much as a kid but as I got older its gotten stronger

now its the strongest its ever been in my life
