How do you not lose it when you realise your life is over and you're just waiting for death? Do people actually get some peace as they age and accept mortality? Or do they just learn to suffer in silence until the last moment the age reaper finally takes them out?

People who have done nothing with there lives for sure. I think someone with a family or who did a lot in their prime and achieved great things is more okay with it.

Depends on the life you've lived so far. If I spent my first 30 years fucking and making money I'd be fine with chilling out and doing whatever the fuck I can as an old man.
