I was the other day training and a local bodybuilder told me that obliques shouldn't be trained and should be left completely to your genetics after you leaned whether they are visible or not, because training them could ruin the back V and make you look worse.
I asked him "So maybe i should only train them when i'm leaning and not when in a bulk?" And he answered "No, they shouldn't be trained at all"
So, what is the right answer? Was he just giving bro tips or is it real? I have found different answers.
