Does accutane stunt growth?

I've seen people say accutane stunts growth and some say it does not.

Any experience with it? I have mild acne but whatever I try it will not go away.

I didn’t personally use accutane but yeah it stunts your growth. It SIGNIFICANTLY decreases the conversion from the GH to the IGF-1. Don't use it.

Short-term isotretinoin treatment decreases insulin-like growth factor-1 and insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 levels: does isotretinoin affect growth hormone physiology? - PubMed

Isotretinoin therapy may have an effect on GH physiology, and further studies are needed to understand this association.

I used it at 18 after I clearly hadn't grown in years, so no problems there honestly. It can cause some hair thinning which was the only bad experience, but it all grew back after.

Acne patients have way higher IGF-1 levels than healthy subjects tho

actual real life experience here . My twin bother did a high dose of accutane at age 16 when i didn't and he ended up being approx 1 inch shorter that i am

he was taking 60 mg per day mom is 5ft4 father is 6ft4

That’s a lot. I only took 10mg per day when I was 16 yrs and 7 months. I haven’t grown since then but then again I’m 5'9 whereas my dad was 5'6 when he was younger and my mom is 5'3
