I am already really pale, so I can't comment on that. Its not something I've looked into either.

I'm currently using Glycolic Acid 30% for the hyper-pigmentation spots on my face. It's working pretty well so far. But, it's not strong enough for me so I bought the 70% Glycolic Acid, it'll be delivered soon. I've read that the 70% can help with certain acne scars like the rolling type.

Glycolic Acid will lighten your skin, in my experience so far, but it's nothing dramatic.
