does being skinny fat affect face or primarily body

Face and physique. Your face stores lots of fat in the cheeks, and your physique is dogshit, skinny limbs fat stomach. That’s skinnyfat, one of the worst physique starting points

It’s something i’m working on fixing at the moment and let me give you some advice from my trial and error:

1) if skinnyfat and around 170,180, or above lbs, at 5’8-5’10, cut first, try to drop 20 or so pounds on a high protein diet. Drop as much fat as possible until you need an impossibly small deficit to keep doing so, lift weights while you do so so you don’t lose muscle.

2) read oskar faarkog’s blog on skinnyfat

3) do not do starting-strength/stronglifts/ICF style fullbody workouts, no matter how much you see them shilled online, avoid them like the plague there’s a reason guys only post their lift numbers and never physiques as progress on these.

4) implement bodyweight training into your routine, chinups and dips are hard to progress past a certain point but actual lifefuel and far superior to lat pulldowns and dip machines

5) do a bro split, at least that’s what i’m doing and seeing progress, again, don’t fall for fullbody meme routines

6) fuck what’s “science based” let’s be honest, what do you think will build more muscle, a set of chinups, or a set of 1 arm cable 45 degree nippard rows? Yeah no.

7) avoid maingaining or “gaintainance” no matter how many youtubers shill it. They didn’t build their physiques doing this, it is a scam, everyone I know who tried it not nowhere, i got nowhere doing it. You cannot build muscle in a deficit past your first 3 months in the gym or so, you just can’t. If you’re not progressing in strength, muscle ain’t being build, and if you do maintainance, you wont build muscle or lose fat. Lose-lose. Use a cut to lose fat, use a bulk to gain muscle. That all you need to know

8) track your lifts in an app, track your calories,
