Apparently one reason why you look better in mirrors is because your brain more easily filters out the failos and has a tendency to focus more on your halos. But when you're presented with a photo of yourself you're pretty much forced to face everything failos included. The blackpill has sort of made me hyperaware of all these failos however so now whenever I look in the mirror or myself in photos I now look exactly the same in each.

It does not filters out failos. There is not such thing. Im aware of my failos even at mirrors. Most people look good because of lightining of the room. Some light can hide ur flaws and some can highlight them even more. Selfies will distort which can make u more bad apr more good looking depending on face shape .

some mirrors distort heavily too. either i’m craxy or my head looks way narrower in some mirrors and wider in others
