Does everything matter or does everything not matter?

I don’t get it , does everything matter or does nothing matter , I thought about it and came up for some explanations how if nothing mattered then why did god bother make everything, but if everything mattered then why does “sin” have to be some type of rule? Why not just make it impossible to sin with power , just force it onto everyone. And no one would have anything to say since god is all righteous and is perfect.
