Does exercise close your growth palates?

Or does it stop them from closing?
 
Exercise develops the muscles, tendons etc other tissues as well as blood vessels around bones and respective plates, which get a better supply of blood.
It also causes stress to bones which makes them more robust and potentially longer. As of current research it does not speed up/slow down the closure of growth plates.
Proper, non-retarded exercising combined with a healthy lifestyle and habits will not only not stunt growth it promotes it.
