"free will" is a category error - the will can't be free, since it's just a mental faculty

only agents can be free - and yes, humans are free

freedom = the power to act according to one's will
people act according to their will all the time - like how i am currently writing this comment because im willing to

since the free will question is as it seems about the capacity to act freely (since nobody thinks we have the absolute freedom to act everything out), we can be said to have that capacity, although we aren't free in every scenario

failure is when we're not free - we lack the power i.e. the potential, the possibility to actualize our will because of external circumstances

The biggest question oat. I don’t think free will exists, it’s purely a matter of a pre-established cognitive framework. You can change everything except your brain and the way you think. The actions others take are dictated by their brains, and that’s how they influence you. For me, that’s the real black pill. No, I don’t believe free will exists.
