It did for me. I was extremely recessed, and I think that's why my bottom lip was very big. After genioplasty my lips are good.

No sorry, will never post pics, also not only part of face, also not in dm.
Just show lower third bro, you can use filters as well, there's no way you'll get doxxed, atleast show cbct scans

This surgery I did also zygo osteomy, but nothing with jaw. I was 36 when I did the surgery. If i would be much younger, i would have considered jaw surgery

yes

The response of the soft tissues of the chin had a high correlation with changes at Pog, the corresponding underlying hard tissue landmark. Comparison of changes between them indicated that 1.0-mm change at Pog resulted in approximately 0.8-mm anterior change at point C, the overlying soft tissue landmark. -The response of the soft tissue of the lower lip showed a correlation to changes at Pog. Comparison of changes between them indicated that 1.0 mm-change at Pog resulted in approximately 0.4-mm anterior displacement at LI, the overlying soft tissue landmark. However, the correlation was not sufficiently great to be used in any individual prediction. -The relationship of the response of hard tissues and soft tissues was similar for large and small amounts of surgical movemen

Yes, it can roll the lip inwards, so you see a little less of the bottom lip in a relaxed state.

I had genio done, it indeed made lower lip look thinner,

It does have to do with the mentalis muscle, yes. This rotates the lower lip inwards which makes it smaller. I read that some surgeons now use the V-Y suturing technique when doing a genio to avoid this.

Ofc people in here will say "thin lips look more masc bro", mostly because the archetypical and classical model of masculinity, aka tall, dark hair, big chin, long philtrum,etc,..., can be found in traditional masc role models such as Superman,etc,...,

but I feel nowadays standards have changed and it's become more about a balance, i.e. being "prettyboy maxxed" is ideal, masculine fatures mixed with feminine traits (so for example, bigger lips in prettyboys).

You want your lips to be in proportion. Medium upper lip with a big lower lip sticking out is not good harmony.
