if ur doing it medically, dont expect good cosmetic results, like at all
in my experience the results are still good. don't expect a bp result, but even during medical plastic surgery cosmetics are taken into account. they will work with your facial harmony

absolutely shattered my shit thanks😭
surgeons who practice and perform bimaxillary osteotomy will, and always will stem from a functional context, the blackpill surgeons just put aesthetics > function

giant shill detected
i called giant out for botching and high ego when people confront him for botching, this has nothing to do with giant

well duh, the good results functionally, are severe cases, which is common (and sometimes, cosmetic is a consideration, not always)

i got the referral from the ortho
i'd say to go through with it then. visit a couple surgeons. tell them about ur cosmetic concerns as well and see who's plan is best at taking those into account

1. You’ll just dox yourself
2. No I do not know the surgeons from American hospitals. Don’t t expect a crazy difference with your maxilla, but if you’re mandible is recessed you will se a pretty big difference there. Also a reminder, you will see the actual results in about a month after the surgery, and the recovery is pretty brutal for your age so take care

Yeah after the surgery you will experience some pretty bad pain but it will go away. Also pray that you have a good surgeon because they can give you asymmetries or botch you. It’s a really small risk but keep it in mind

well yeah, just take scans, but the hard part is finding a surgeon who has a aesthetic eye, most surgeons will say they will focus more aesthetically, but its either, A: just saying that so you hear what you want to, or B: they have no experience in aesthetic function, they wont risk less health for more aesthetic because thats not normal for them

Yeah bigger chance for them to fuck up their reputation, which they won’t take

i'm recovering from a lower jaw and chin osteotomy right now. i'm around 3 weeks post op. the recovery sucks, but it's more of an annoying feeling than actual pain that lasted for around 2 weeks. now i still have slight swelling, numbness and crave crispy baguettes so badly hahah

eh, thats also a part, but what im saying is, to them, they are bluepilled, so, imagine a patient asking you to risk more potential health benefits for aesthetic function, that seems alien to them

lmao i’m sure the results are worth it tho. i’m allitle scared tho cuz i thought this surgery was gonna make me look really good but ig not. i’m gonna try and see multiple surgeons and see what they say. the ortho said i have severe overjet, bilateral cross bite, narrow palate, and recession so everything shitty lmao

So iyo should I look around this forum for recommended surgeons in USA (so I can use my referral) or just shop myself for one locally based off what they recommend for me?

Ill elaborate a bit more since vibes are unfair but 1st of all I dont know how I feel about a 4chan type of person operating on my face, but second and most importantly I know he works on all kinds of new proprietary forms of plastic surgery and thats really cool, but its all very new and experimental so I want to wait and see how fast that new techn will improve, 10 years from now an obo might be a much less invasive procedure who knows

Understandable. If I’m not mistaken Liam only designs the implants and sometimes assists with the surgeries in turkey or Italy. I get what you mean like you wouldn’t trust someone to operate on your face that talks about bisexual porn on .org. I personally think he’s trusthworthy, idk why people expect ,,doctors” to not have an outside life

That I can’t tell. You need to ask your surgeon how many mm will the advancement be. It will be a difference, most people won’t be able to tell but you will see a difference

Well personally, I don't really see it as an outside life, I see it as elaborate marketing.

if ur relying on insurance, it doesn't matter where you go, usa has extremely strict rules with surgery, and what is covered, how it should be done, etc, you dont have much say in it

surgery plan > surgeon as long as surgeon is experienced

It will be noticeable either way. It could go from 5mm to 10mm (talking about the maxilla now)

should i express my concerns and push for 7-8
Try to talk to your surgeon, orthodontist and see what they recommend. I’m not a professional and I don’t know your current situation, they should have more insight. Either way good luck with your surgery bhai I hope it goes good, I recommend you take before and after pictures
