Since the maxilla is cut, the jaw will swing further giving you a better gonial angle/ more forward growth???

And what if i get my maxilla shortened. Due to gummy smile. That would make the gonial angle better. Cope harderNo retard it's literally to move the lower maxilla forward. Even the BSSO part most likely isn't gonna change the gonial angles.
Lol no, it's got to do with the ramus bone. And what if i get my maxilla shortened. Due to gummy smile. That would make the gonial angle better. Cope harder
You dont understand simple mathsLol no, it's got to do with the ramus bone.
You don't, gaycel. Also stop simping for foids who'll never give you the time of dayYou dont understand simple maths
Yea that would affect forward growth?
The ghost of Lefort 3 blesses us with his presence. The gonial angle is the angle formed by the ramus and mandible. A Lefort I osteotomy advances or rotates the position of the maxilla.
These are completely physiologically distinct locations, so no, a LF 1 will not change gonial angle under any circumstances.
I’m not sureYea that would affect forward growth?
Yea thats whats i meantIn the case of an anterior impaction LeFort I then mandibular autorotation would occur. although the actual angle will be the same (the angle from the mandibular body and posterior ramus did not move) the perceived angle would probably be different because the mandibular plane is becoming more parallel with the Frankfurt Horizontal plane.
