Does lighting play any effect on face symmetry ?

it can, bad lightning might make a somewhat thick nose look twice as thick, whilst good lightning can make it slightly thinner,

i mean, lighting obviously can’t change facial symmetry, it’s just light

lighting can certainly enhance features (for better or for worse), and is super important in pictures more so than IRL

school air theory is a popular trend but i think the bright white overhead lights might play a role in why some people look so off at school vs in their home mirror

True but like what about face like some time one side of my face is shadow and other sun light and it’s kinda look asymmetrical

Like one side dark and other fully shiny
