Does mother's height matter more than the father's for height genetics?

Title, just curious because it seems to be this way based off my experience. Most really tall guys I know have tall mothers, obviously fathers height matters too but I know a lot more short guys with tall fathers than short guys with tall mothers

Father’s grandmother was 5’5 and his dad was 6’2 all his brothers are 6’2-6’4.. i don’t really think so.
