Does pick up artistry still work?

I found out about pick up artists like Paul Janka and Mystery and they were successful like 10-15 years ago. Is replicating what they preach still effective nowadays? Dating apps probably made it harder to succeed but if you are good looking I can see it still working.

But they kinda suck too

Any good modern dating advice would be related to warm approach/dating apps/social media presence, not cold approach. But first you need looks, NT and minimal amount of social status.

I feel like my biggest issue is not having a social circle. Second being my looks right now since I got my hair cut and I look worse now. I'm also still skinny fat and too lazy to go to the gym since it‘s too far away and working out is extremely boring. I‘d rather not eat to lose body fat.
